Today my thoughts are a battle between light and dark skin… It’s funny. This is an age long battle. What I’ve noticed is that it’s easier for a woman to be light skinned. Light skinned women are usually considered attractive right off the back. Dark skinned women actually have to be attractive. I’ve noticed about myself that that meaningless flings are usually light skinned women but I usually get serious with dark skinned women. What irks me is the fact that ugly light skinned women get so much attention just because of the color of their skin… I dunno maybe it’s just me….
Thoughts of a black man.
I THINK you people should stop bulking other people together and learn to like/dislike/pass judgement on someone as an individual. Not all “lighter skin” black women are praised for their skin tone and not all “darker skin” black women are shunned for theirs. . we’re all still black. It is NOT easier for ALL light skin chicks and it is NOT harder for ALL dark skin chicks… everyone encounters their own problems, everyone has their own story. To put down a lighter skin woman because of something she did not choose is what is meaningless about the whole situation. The reason this topic will never disappear is because people continue to compare and contrast, when skin color shouldn’t even be up for discussion. Compare personalities…shit, and I thought I was shallow, I don’t give a fuck about someones color.
